DANCERS AGAINST CANCER (DAC) is proud to announce

 “ LOHOFF” -

LIVE, LAUGH and DANCE

A benefit concert supporting Ryan Lohoff and his fight against cancer.  This one night only event will take place on Tuesday, May 15th at 7:30pm at the Los Angeles Theatre Center

Jackie Sleight states, “When the dance community heard the news of Ryan's illness, shock was immediately followed by a determination to do whatever we could for him.  Not only is Ryan respected by his peers, his friends, and his family, but he is also loved by them.  It took no time to gather some of the greatest tap artists in the country to put together what will be an amazing night of dance and laughter.  Our goal is to show Ryan the impact that he has had on the dance community, on his students, and on everyone who loves him.”

Scheduled to perform are:

Tap Sounds Underground, Co.mmitt Tap Co., Jason Janas, Simi Dance Center, Ryan Vettel, Megan McBride, Keith Clifton & Gregg Russell, Hollywood Vibe Dance convention -featuring the work of Alexa Anderson, Caitlin Kinney, & Katie Hazard, 24/7 Tap Company, Alexa Anderson Duo,  Danceology Tap Co. and Ryan’s own dance company -Rithem Tap.

Ryan and his wife Brigid say, “We have never fully realized the overwhelming amount of love and support that the Dance Community provides. All of these years growing up, being a dancer seemed like second nature to us. The people we have met in the dance world, students, teachers, parents, employers, mentors, fellow colleagues, friends, we have always considered them our second family. But to be in the thick of it, facing an unfathomable challenge and experience the positive energy that this dance family provides is tremendous. There is nothing more humbling or heartwarming than to see people in our life reach out, unite and come together from across the country, all ages, all families, all generations of our lifetime to help our family fight on and heal. There are no words to truly express the gratitude we have for these beautiful hearts.”

Ryan is not only a former student, but a great friend and colleague.  He has made my life and numerous others a better reality, and assisting with directing this show, is the tip of the iceberg to return the favor." states Gregg Russell.

All proceeds will go to help support the Lohoff family as they battle Ryan's Grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme.
